hOm encourages our clients to explore the community in which they live. We invite local businesses to host pop-up shops where our clients can discover new services to enhance their lives and connect to each other.

We care about our salon’s impact on the environment which is why we partner with Green Circle Salon to be a sustainable salon and recycle up to 95% of our beauty waste.

The Dreamers

hŌm is the culmination of 11 years of building relationships with our clients into a community.

Carissa, the owner of hŌm salon, has styled the residents of greater D.C. for the last decade. Starting her career downtown, she met fascinating people from every corner of the world, which expanded her understanding of how hair plays an important role in one’s personal and professional life. For 7 years she styled and also eventually became the manager at her intro salon, PR at Partners, before opening a salon suite in Clarendon.

What happened there was magic. Clients were welcomed to enjoy a peaceful inviting space where connecting with others and expressing one's true self became the focus, all with beautiful hair. It was also there that Carissa realized her desire to continue educating new hairstylists. As an educator, she shared her knowledge with the students of The Salon Professional Academy in Washington D.C.

hŌm is a gift to her clients, new hairstylists, and the greater community. It is a place to gather, explore, encourage, and feel your best self. By expanding into Arlington, Carissa hopes to unify clients with their most beautiful selves, the neighborhood, and each other.
